About the project
The branding for the MLK Service Day event at Southern Adventist University was created to inspire students to make a meaningful impact in both campus life and the surrounding Chattanooga community. With more than 1,500 students participating, the event plays a significant role in extending service beyond the university by supporting local organizations and strengthening community connections.

Challanges
The challenge was to create a visual identity that honored Southern’s more traditional branding while introducing a fresh, engaging approach that could resonate with a younger college audience. It needed to feel both credible and energizing—familiar enough to align with the university, yet dynamic enough to inspire participation.
Intentional design and messaging helped transform the event into something students felt connected to and motivated to be part of.
